Base Classes

The block structures inherit most of their attributes and methods from these classes. A class page lists only what the class defines itself, and links to the rest here.

Pickleable()	Mixin to add to_file() and from_file() methods for pickle serialization.
Structure()	Abstract base class for structured data with pandas index and validation.
Structure1D(data[, name, index, dtype, copy])	Base class for 1D structures (Block, Vector).
Structure2D(data[, name, index, columns, ...])	Base class for 2D structures (Matrix).
SingleBlockMixin()	Base class for low-level structures (Block, MatrixBlock) that wrap raw Series/DataFrames without block levels.
MultiBlockMixin()	Base class for high-level structures (Vector, Matrix) that wrap Series/DataFrames with block levels.
