arlmet.archives.get_archive(name, **options)[source]#

Build a meteorology archive from its short name.

Parameters:

  • name (str) – A key of ARCHIVES, e.g. "hrrr", "nam12", "gdas1".

  • **options (Any) – Passed to the archive’s constructor, e.g. domain="ak" for "nams".

Returns:

A new instance of the named archive.

Return type:

Archive

Raises:

  • ValueError – If name is not a registered archive.

  • TypeError – If the archive does not accept options.
