Grid.meridian_convergence(lon, lat)

Angle from true north to the grid’s y-axis at each point, in degrees.

Positive where the grid’s y-axis points east of true north (true north lies counterclockwise of it), so at tangent_lon it is the grid’s orientation. Zero everywhere on a lat/lon grid.

Parameters:

• lon (NDArray[Any] | float) – Geographic coordinates in degrees.

• lat (NDArray[Any] | float) – Geographic coordinates in degrees.

Returns:

Convergence angle in degrees with the broadcast shape of the inputs.

Return type:

NDArray[Any]
