slv.inversion.pipelines.get_bias(config, obs_space)[source]#

The bias block: one unknown offset per group of obs, by config.bias_grouping.

None or "time": one per flux interval; "site": per interval and site; "site_group": per interval and site organization. A mobile receptor belongs to its mobile site (obs_sites(), after config.location_site_map). Only groups with obs get an offset; each is labeled by its interval’s start (obs_time) and its site (obs_location) or organization (site_group). Built every run from the obs, which change with the obs filters the cache key leaves out.

Return type:

tuple[Vector, Operator]

Returns:

  • prior (Vector) – Zeros, the one block bias.

  • forward (Operator) – The obs-by-bias block of the forward operator (1 where an obs has the offset).
