slv.meteorology.mesowest.station_hourly(station_code, columns=None, time_range=None)

Hourly observations for one station, indexed by Time_UTC.

Columns are renamed out of MesoWest’s _set_1 convention where a standard name exists (see _RENAME); anything else keeps its archive name. columns selects a subset by the renamed name, dropping any the station does not carry. Reads our Synoptic pull when it has the station, else the fixed pull (module docstring). wind_direction is recomputed from Uwind/Vwind (the hourly vector mean) wherever both exist; lair.air.wind_direction gives a dead-calm hour (U = V = 0) NaN. Callers that bin by direction should still drop light winds.
