This is the one definition of the flux cells – the Jacobian is built on it and grid (the prior) takes its axes. When the extent is not a whole number of cells the last row/column is still a whole cell, reaching past xmax/ymax (ymax=40.93 with dy=0.05 gives a top row centred at 40.925, covering 40.90-40.95).
