slv.measurements.mobile.receptors.find_dwells(fixes, radius=150.0, min_duration='20min', max_gap='10min')[source]#

Periods where the train stayed put: parked on a yard track or waiting at a terminus.

Walks the per-minute positions and opens a dwell at each minute, extending it while the train stays within radius of the first minute of the run and no gap exceeds max_gap. Runs lasting at least min_duration are returned, one row each: dwell, t_start, t_end, longitude, latitude (median over the dwell), n_minutes, n_fix, spread_m (largest distance from the median position).

Pass fixes loaded with location="outdoor" so yard-parked minutes are present and indoor shed air is not.
