slv.measurements.mobile.receptors.label_dwell_site#

slv.measurements.mobile.receptors.label_dwell_site(dwells, points=None, max_dist=200.0, yard_buffer=None)[source]#

Where each dwell is: yard_name (JRRSC / MRSC, from the packaged storage polygons) and segment (nearest 2-km segment, NaN beyond max_dist).

A dwell is in a yard within yard_buffer m of its polygon (default the location classifier’s YARD_BUFFER, so a train parked just outside the drawn edge is labelled the same way by both).

Diagnostic only – the receptor sits at the dwell’s own median position. The yard label is the one that matters for screening: a rail service center is a maintenance yard, so those receptors carry hyper-local influence that a 0.01-degree footprint cannot resolve. Note the two labels overlap: the Jordan River yard runs alongside the Green line, so many of its parking spots are also within max_dist of a network point.
