classmethod Receptor.from_points(time, points, *, altitude_ref='agl')

Build the right receptor type for a list of points.

Parameters:

• time (datetime | Timestamp | datetime64 | str) – Release time (UTC).

• points (list[tuple[float, float, float]]) – (longitude, latitude, altitude) of each release point.

• altitude_ref (Literal['agl', 'msl']) – Whether altitudes are above ground level or above mean sea level.

Returns:

A PointReceptor for one point, a ColumnReceptor for two points at the same longitude and latitude, and a MultiPointReceptor otherwise.

Return type:

Receptor
