Each variant, resolved, by name, in config order.

An ensemble (realizations: N) is one variant; its realizations are the realization column of simulations. A footprint given by a geometry gets its grid here, so the geometry is read on first use (stilt.ProjectConfig.resolve()), and a relative geometry file starts from the project directory.
