Zones.to_grid(*, cells_per_target=4.0, crs=None, max_cells=50000000)[source]#

Return a footprint grid fine enough to resolve the regions.

Each region is a union of base cells, so a grid that resolves the base resolves the regions. A mesh base gives Mesh.to_grid(). A grid base is returned as it is, since a footprint on that grid overlaps every region exactly. With another crs, a grid base is reprojected as a mesh first.

Parameters are those of Mesh.to_grid().
