Met.files_for(window)

Return the met files that cover window, (start, end) in time order.

HYSPLIT steps through a run with the two met steps around each of its times, so in either direction it needs the met step at or after the window’s end: the release of a backward run, the end of a forward one. When the end is past the last met step of its file, the next file is added. The spacing of the met steps is read once, from the index records of the file that holds the window’s end, as file_format finds it; other products in directory do not change it. When that file cannot be read or holds one time period, the spacing is taken as one hour and check() says so. Downloads the files first when download is set.

Parameters:

window (tuple[Any, Any]) – The time to cover (run_window()).

Return type:

list[Path]

Raises:

MeteorologyError – A file the run needs is missing. Every one is needed: HYSPLIT would stop the particles where the met runs out.
